Pilot Stress Test

OpenHUR has reached a working prototype stage and is preparing for stress testing in a real basin environment.

The goal is to evaluate whether structured watershed indexing improves operational tasks such as:

1. Locating upstream sources of downstream risk

2. Prioritizing sub-catchments for intervention

3. Reducing decision time during events

4. Improving monitoring and reporting consistency

Proposed Evaluation Metrics

Coverage

Percentage of basin represented as an indexed network

Traceability

Ability to trace upstream influence through node connectivity

Targeting quality

Ability to prioritize interventions versus whole-basin actions

Cost to operate

Staff time, computing resources, and data updates

Decision latency

Time from signal detection to actionable hotspot identification
